Information you provide

• Account details: your name, email, and the authentication identifiers created when you sign up with email, Apple, or Google.
• Profile and preferences: display name, home city, taste preferences (cuisines, diets, budget), travel style, and an optional profile photo.
• Content you create: saved trips and itineraries, and places you favorite.
• Anything you send us directly, such as support requests and feedback.

Information collected automatically

• Location: with your permission, your device's location, used to show nearby restaurants and to build location-based itineraries.
• Usage and device data: how you interact with the app, plus device model, operating system version, and diagnostic data, collected via TelemetryDeck. TelemetryDeck is privacy-focused: it does not use advertising identifiers and hashes any user identifier on-device.

Information from third parties

• Sign-in providers (Apple, Google) share the basic profile information you authorize.
• Restaurant, place, and photo data is provided by Google Places.

• Provide and personalize the app: generate itineraries, recommend places, and remember your trips and preferences.
• Power location features such as nearby eats and trips near you.
• Communicate with you: service messages, and product updates if you opt in.
• Improve and secure the app, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

To build an itinerary, we send your trip parameters (such as city, approximate location, dates, and food preferences) to our cloud service, which uses Google Places and an AI service (Anthropic) to assemble recommendations. We do not send your name or contact details for this purpose.

When you tap "Reserve a table" or a restaurant website, you are taken to a third party (for example OpenTable) in an in-app browser. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. CityBites participates in affiliate programs and may earn a commission when you book through these links. An affiliate network may set a cookie to attribute the booking. We do not receive your payment details.

We share data with vendors that process it on our behalf, including:

• Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, hosting) and Google Places.
• Anthropic, for itinerary generation.
• TelemetryDeck, for privacy-focused usage analytics (no advertising identifiers).
• Our reservation partner (OpenTable) for reservation links and booking attribution.

These providers are contractually limited to using the data only to provide their services to us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen, which removes your profile and the trips and favorites associated with it. You can also request deletion by emailing hello@bing-studios.com.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise them, use the in-app account controls or email hello@bing-studios.com.

CityBites is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We will post changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. We will highlight material changes in the app.
